DETROIT(WXYZ) - White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, in Troy, is hosting the 5th Annual Care Package Drive to benefit overseas military troops.
Regarded as Michigan’s veterans’ cemetery, White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery is home to several veterans’ memorials, including the WWII Four Freedoms Memorial, inspired by President Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms.
White Chapel's collaboration with Michigan Military Moms is to give Michigan military personnel a sweet reminder of home while they're away.
The drive is being held On Monday, September 17, in remembrance of the 11th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and Patriot Day.
Below is a list of donated items that the Michigan Military Moms can include in the care packages:
The care package drive will take place from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. tomorrow at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery at 621 W. Long Lake Rd. (west of I-75) in Troy in the Temple of Memories.
