(WXYZ) - A Facebook post places a local marine under the watchful eye of the FBI.
Now, that marine could face federal prison time. Social media is a great way for people to stay in touch and communicate, but the FBI says a local marine crossed the line when he posted a threat.
The terrifying recent shooting that claimed numerous lives at a Navy Yard in Washington was yet another sad day in American history. So, the FBI did not take it lightly when they say they discovered the Facebook posting of local marine corporal Moses Castro.
According to a charge in federal court of making and sending threatening interstate communication, Castro threatened to pull a similar attack to the one at the Navy Yard if people didn't stop messing with him.
According to the criminal complaint, Castro claimed he didn't remember making the post last Friday because he had been intoxicated.
