Local students suspended after recording their own version of the "Harlem Shake"

HIGHLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) - More than 20 students have been suspended from Milford High School after recording their own YouTube version of the popular dance the "Harlem Shake."

The students called the video "White Boys Making Noise."

School officials say the students lied to a teacher to gain access to a classroom and broke the student Code of Conduct with vulgarity and misrepresentation.

"We take it extremely seriously. If we didn't react you would have others doing something similar," said a school official.
