Several homeowners in Ferndale are starting a petition to control noise in the city’s downtown. They say the sound from bars and restaurants can be heard late into the night, until 3:00 or 4:00.
Bars in the area say they are diligent about doing sound checks and the noise comes with living in an urban area.
The residents have until September 12th to get 266 signatures for their petition to make it on the November ballot.
The issue will be taken up August 9th at a council meeting.
