Mackinac Island, MI. - Get ready for an interesting run for Detroit mayor after America gets past this November's presidential race. Mike Duggan, the former Wayne County Prosecutor and now CEO of the Detroit Medical Center is interested in the job and "unofficially" running. Those close to him are talking candidly about it here on Mackinac Island at the Detroit Regional Chamber's Policy Conference. Duggan is also on the island watching, talking, and listening intently to the concerns of Detroit residents and business leaders. Duggan's allies say the former Livonia resident (who recently moved into Detroit) will seek the city's top political job whether incumbent Mayor Dave Bing runs again, or not! Stay tuned....
