REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Protestors took aim Friday night at a high school fundraiser that they say crosses the line into animal cruelty.

They marched outside of Redford Union High School, where a booster club held their annual 'Donkey Basketball' game.

We're told the event has been a tradition at the school for more than 30 years. Organizers say the donkeys are working animals and are not mistreated.

The protestors say there are better ways to raise money.
