WINDSOR, Ontario, Canada (WXYZ) - “Tonto” is not the first cockatoo to be caught on tape dancing to music, but the Windsor, Ontario bird may be the biggest fan of AC/DC.
Video of the 17-year-old White Cockatoo banging his plumed head to the beat of the band’s big hit “You Shook Me All Night Long” is drawing a lot of attention on YouTube.
“I’m really surprised that it’s taken off this far,” said Howard Stiers -- the man rocking along with Tonto in the video.
“We’re getting requests for interviews, and the video’s gone worldwide. It’s even made news in the U.K.” he exclaimed.
The video is shot by Wenda Arbasky – Tonto’s owner and Howard’s girlfriend.
"I consider him my child. My Mom calls him her grandchild," Arabsky wrote in an email to Action News.
"He's been dubbed the Rockatoo, and I made him his own facebook page," she added.
Arabasky has even created a facebook page for Tonto The Rockatoo.
“He dances to all kinds of music, but we couldn’t believe how much he liked AC/DC. It was so cute,” said Stiers.
“He’s a very, very lovable bird,” he added.
Arabsky echoed that sentiment.
"He snuggles under the covers in bed with me and is kind of a velcro bird. He has to always snuggle really close," she said.
