Maine earthquake rattles New England

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - An earthquake in southern Maine has rattled nearby New England states.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the epicenter of the 4.6 magnitude quake was about 3 miles west of Hollis Center, Maine, and about 3 miles deep.

The quake was also felt in Vermont, New Hampshire and eastern Massachusetts and as far south as Rhode Island and Connecticut.

There have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
