(WXYZ) - A man drove through a security checkpoint at Detroit Metro Airport on Friday night and was tackled and arrested.
Police say the man drove in behind a fuel tanker that had been cleared through the checkpoint before security could stop him.
Once stopped by security, the man jumped out of his car and ran into a Delta Airlines Hanger, according to police.
Airport staff were able to catch the man and hold him until airport police could arrive.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital for stitches.
Police say no airport operations were affected.
