MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Michigan's Upper Peninsula say they've arrested a 48-year-old man following the thefts of women's underwear and bathing suits from campsites and vehicles.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Office says at least 10 thefts took place this month in the Witch Lake area of southern Marquette County. In eight of the cases, clothing was taken from clotheslines at campsites. In two of the cases, clothing was believed to have been taken from vehicles.
Authorities on Friday searched the man's home in Republic Township and say they found evidence linking him to the thefts. The investigation was ongoing.
The man's name wasn't immediately released, pending a court hearing.
Investigators believe there may be other cases where clothing was taken. They're asking people who may have had items stolen to contact them.
