OAK PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Oak Park police say one man was shot and killed in a parking lot off of Greenfield between 8 Mile and 9 Mile.

Police say the victim is a man in his 40’s. It’s not clear why he was targeted, or whether he was robbed.

Witnesses tell Action News the man left the office building on Greenfield just north of 8 Mile when a shot was fired.

Investigators say the victim was hit in the chest. Workers in the building say he was an employee at a doctor's office.
