(DETROIT) - A father of two was found shot to death in his car near 7 Mile and Van Dyke Thursday morning.

The man has been identified as 28-year-old Larry Green, Junior.

According to the victim's father, the man was either going into or leaving a nearby lounge when somebody walked up to his vehicle and opened fire.

His father also tells 7 Action News there was no evidence of a robbery and that his son may have been targeted.

"Tonight my son, Larry Green, Junior was shot four times in his vehicle coming from this nightclub across the street. I'm just asking anyone with information to come forward, give police any type of help that they need, we'd very much appreciate it," said Larry Green, Sr.

No arrests have been reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit Police.
