(WXYZ) - A man was murdered on Detroit's eastside Monday night as he sat in a Chevy Malibu in the parking lot of a liquor store on Gratiot.
The car was riddled with bullets, dozens of casings were marked with paper. Police were still in the lot surrounding the car Monday night.
We're hearing that someone drove up, got out, opened fire and then raced away.
Family members and friends of the victim rushed to the scene understandably distraught. Police are looking at surveillance video from the store hoping to get a look at the shooter's vehicle.
