Man wounded in Monroe shooting

MONROE, MI (WXYZ) - A 26 year-old man is in stable condition after being shot overnight in Monroe. It happened shortly after midnight Friday at a home on Peters street.

Police say the victim was shot in stomach and is expected to recover. The man who shot him got away. Police are still looking for him. The motive behind the shooting is not yet known.
