NEW YORK (AP) - McDonald's is turning breakfast into a late-night meal.
The Oak Brook, Ill.-based fast food chain says some of its locations are offering items from the breakfast menu such as Egg McMuffins, Sausage McMuffins and hotcakes starting at midnight.
Typically, McDonald's offers breakfast starting at 5 a.m.
According to Danya Proud, a spokeswoman for McDonald's, several markets are adopting the program, but that it isn't being done nationwide yet. She did not have specifics.
The way the program works can vary, too. Some restaurants are offering the full breakfast menu, while others are offering only select items.
McDonald's breakfast menu also includes oatmeal, fruit and yogurt parfait, hash browns and a sausage burrito.
So far it's not clear when McDonald's locations in Michigan might begin selling breakfast food overnight.
