DETROIT (WXYZ) - Police are investigating a robbery that happend at the BP gas station at Montclair and Jefferson on Detroit's east side this morning.
The owner of the gas station tells Action News three men came up to his store in what he perceived to be three stolen vehicles.
They rammed a truck into the BP station, crashing through the wall and knocking over a ATM. They then stole it.
The two men then transported the ATM into a vehicle. While this was going on, a third criminal charged into the gas station with an AK-47, demanding the owner empty out his cash register.
"The way they came in, it wasn't a gun," owner Abdul Beydoun tells Action News.
"They had machine guns -- over something stupid like an ATM. Maybe there's a few dollars in it."
There is survelliance video that will be taken from the station once it is deemed safe to go back into the unstable buidling.
