Missing man sought in Livonia

Man walks from assisted living facility

LIVONIA, MICH (WXYZ) - Livonia Police are looking for a man who walked away from an assisted living facility today.

36 year old  Cory Antoine Maxwell was last seen around 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Maxwell is mentally ill and a paranoid schizophrenic.

Police believe he just walked out an unsecured door at the Berkley Court facility on West 7 Mile Road, east of Farmington Road in Livonia.

Staffers say he may try to approach you for food or money. He may also scream loudly, if you turn him down. But, he is not considered a threat.

Mr. Maxwell is a black male, about 6'2", and weighs about 160 pounds. He was wearing a black Carhart jacket, burgundy sweat pants, blue boots, and may have a plaid scarf. He also walks with a limp.
