(WXYZ) - Michigan Department of Community Health officials say the total number of West Nile Virus cases confirmed has risen to 57. That's more than twice the cases reported a week ago.
This comes as the CDC reports that there has been an alarming increase in West Nile cases across the country.
Health officials say three people have died from the virus in Michigan.
