WXYZ - Everyone will now have the chance to check out the future of the auto industry. The North American International Auto Show 2012 is open to the public as of Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.   

Folks who go to the show will see more than 500 vehicles on display, see how automakers are improving designs, using new technology, and making cars more fuel efficient.

The show at Cobo is North America's biggest automotive showcase. Last year more than 735,000 people attended the show.  It is expected to draw even more people this year.
