(WXYZ) - Police say three people have been killed in a mass shooting near a mall in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Police say that shortly after 12:00 p.m. EDT they received calls about a mass shooting at the Azana Salon and Spa. The spa is located across the street from the Brookfield Square Mall.

A bomb was reportedly hampering the search of the building.

Police from numerous nearby communities responded to the scene. The FBI and ATF also provided resources.

Police have identified a suspect in the shootings. He is reportedly the estranged husband of one of the employees at the spa. There are multiple reports that his body was found inside the spa. The circumstances behind his reported death are not clear at this point.

A restraining order was reportedly put into place against the man on October 18. Police reportedly surrounded his home in Brown Deer, Wisconsin, a nearby community that is north of Milwaukee.

Four other people were injured. They are reportedly not critically hurt.

Brookfield is located to the west of Milwaukee.

The situation comes a little over two months after the mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. That scene is about 20 miles to the southeast of Brookfield.

The scene is also less than a mile from the scene of another mass shooting at a Sheraton Hotel that occurred in March 2005. Seven people were killed and 4 injured in that incident.
