(WXYZ) - The New York Times is reporting that Representative Anthony Weiner's wife is pregnant.
Citing three sources, the paper says that Huma Abedin is in the early stages of her pregnancy.
The news comes as Weiner is struggling to survive the scandal that surrounds his Twitter account. Abedin has yet to comment publicly on the scandal.
Weiner has admitted to having lewd online conversations with at least six women over the past few years. He has said that his wife knew about the conversations and that the couple has no intention of separating.
The Michigan born Abedin is a longtime aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. She is currently on a trip to Africa with the Secretary.
