(WXYZ) - What do you think about Michigan’s smoking ban? Does it go too far? One state lawmaker is saying yes.
Representative Douglas Geiss of Taylor believes exceptions should be made for private clubs and VFW halls. He’s introduced a bill that would allow smoking to be legal in designated rooms, in licensed clubs and in rooms where no food is served.
But the American Cancer Soceity disagrees, saying once that door is open, it weakens the law that is currently in place.
State Representative Geiss and Judy Dietrich with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network will appear on 7 Action News at 7.
