DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Nightline report has found that your child's routine trip to the dentist could turn deadly.

The investigation found that some dentists are seeking to enhance profits by sedating your child.

Doctors are giving anesthesia to young patients for procedures as simple as teeth cleaning.

There is no national registry of dental deaths but according to the Raven Maria Blanco Foundation, more than a dozen children have died after being sedated by dentists.
