EAST LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) - At  $125 a ticket, one thousand attended Governor Snyder's Inaugural party at the Wharton Center in East Lansing. 

They danced to the music of Intrigue, a top ten band from Troy, Michigan and they ate foods from Michigan businesses, some grass roots restaurants and other long time Michigan establishments. 

The Governor and his wife greeted and mingled with many of the people who came to celebrate the day. 

Governor Snyder saying he decided to have a scaled back event in light of the tough economic times the state has been facing.  The party was paid for by private donations and ticket sales.
