WINDSOR, Canada (WXYZ) - Do you ever ask yourself what's the meaning of true love? Or if the man or woman you think you love would stand by you when you're at your lowest point? Well Jen Darmon and Mike Belawetz will make you believe in love again.

We've been following their touching story since a terrible accident put their future in jeopardy.

Saturday, Jen walked down the aisle despite being paralyzed. A head-on collision left her without the use of her legs, but with the support and love of her now husband, she achieved her goal.

The two fell in love after Mike met her at the bank she was working at in Canada, but then on a trip to the beach with a group of friends the unthinkable happened--a rollover accident would change their lives forever.

Watch their back story. Click here.

A head-on collision with seven people in the vehicle left Jen trapped in the van. In fact, everyone made their way out of the van except Jen.

Jen had to be lifted out of the vehicle by Mike, her boyfriend of two years. He is also a paramedic and knew when he ran his hand down Jen's spine that his worst nightmare was unfolding right before his eyes. His beloved Jen could not walk, and was left paralyzed by the accident.

Over the next few years, Mike would barely leave Jen's side. He attended rehab sessions with Jen not just in Canada, but here in Detroit at the Detroit Medical Center's Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan--a 90-minute trip three days a week, three hours at a time. Then on their four year anniversary, Mike did what many men might not have the courage to do: he asked Jen to marry him.

Carolyn Clifford followed their journey to the altar. This is a story of courage, of perseverance and the power of love.
