Pedestrian killed in Livonia accident

LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Livonia woman died Saturday after being hit by a minivan.

The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on Merriman Road, north of 7 Mile.

The 48-year-old was crossing the street when she was hit.

She was taken to Botsford Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The woman who was driving the van did stop. Police say she was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
