BELDING, Mich., (WXYZ) - A search for a 10-year-old boy missing near Grand Rapids has apparently come to a tragic end.
While police are not commenting on the latest developments in the search for Devon Morrison, they are directing inquiries to the Ionia County Central Dispatch Facebook page.
Posted on the page is a statement that says, "It is with heavy heart that the City reports the body of Devon Morrison was found in the Flat River. Please keep his family and thoughts in your prayers."
Morrison was last seen near his home in Belding on Saturday afternoon. He was headed toward a nearby river to go fishing.
Sunday dive crews found a pair of shoes while searching the river. After the discovery, family members said they were "pretty sure" the shoes belonged to Devon.
