Police investigate fatal hit-and-run in Eastpointe

EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police are investigating a hit-and-run car accident that left one woman dead.
Shelley Hackbarth, 51, was crossing 8 Mile near Gratiot in Eastpointe when she was struck by a Dodge Intrepid.
The driver of the car fled the scene.
Hackbarth was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police are searching for the driver. They say the Dodge Intrepid was either white or grey.
They are asking anyone with information to call Eastpointe Police at (586) 445-9120.
