(WXYZ) - Warren Police are investigating the death of an infant who was just 18 days old.
Police say the mother called 911 to report that her baby girl was choking on Thursday.
The baby was found unresponsive at a home on Orchard, just west of Van Dyke. Firefighters revived the child, but the baby was pronounced dead at St. John Hospital on Friday morning.
Police tell 7 Action News preliminary findings show the child suffered head trauma and bleeding in the brain.
The child's 25-year-old mother was arrested on unrelated charges-- for driving with a suspended license.
An autopsy for the baby is scheduled for tomorrow.
