ST. CLAIR SHORES (WXYZ) - Police in St. Clair Shores have released a sketch of a man wanted for robbing a dollar store worker at gunpoint.
It happened in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree located at 13 Mile and Harper on the night of October 14.
Detective Gordon Carrier tells 7 Action News that the dollar store worker was leaving the store with a female friend and when they were getting to their respective vehicles, they were each approached by an armed robber.
The woman was able to drive off and call 911, but one of the robbers was able to enter the dollar store worker's car and rob him at gunpoint.
After stealing the dollar store worker's keys and phone, the robbers ran to a nearby vehicle where it appears a third accomplice may have been waiting.
Witnesses were able to help police with the newly released sketch. That suspect is described as a very light skinned black male in his late teens or early twenties. He has a thin build, reddish brown hair, some facial hair and light colored eyes. He stood about 5'10" - 6'1" tall.
Anyone with information is urged to call St. Clair Shores Police at (586)445-5305. You could also be eligible for a reward by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (773-2587).
