Police searching for suspect in connection with shooting of 3-year-old

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Police are searching for 20-year-old Vernon Coles, wanted in connection with the shooting of 3-year-old Amyria Parham earlier this week.
According to police and family, 3-year-old Amyria was hit in the shoulder after an argument escalated between two rival groups of young people.
It happened on Cardoni near East State Fair Tuesday evening just after 5:30 p.m.
Family says Amyria had brief surgery this morning and is still recovering at a local hospital.
