SOUTHFIELD (WXYZ) - Kurt Haskell says he's fed up with Congress and wants the voters of the 7th District to send him to Washington D.C. to fix the country's problems.

Haskell, a democrat, is challenging incumbent Tim Walberg (R).  He says he would first take aim at the nation's budget. He also wants to improve the housing industry by proposing lending reforms, such as reducing the principle on mortgages for borrowers who qualify for bankruptcy. Haskell would also take on student loan debt by supporting a loan forgiveness program.
