CANDIDATE PROFILE: Mike Rogers (R) -- U.S. House District 8

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Mike Rogers is the incumbent running against Democrat Lance Enderle in the 8th Congressional District. 

Rogers was appointed Chairman of the House Intelligence Comittee in 2011. He's also a member of the Energy and Commerce panel. 

Rogers says he tries to build consensus on areas where both republicans and democrats can agree to take action. He has had six bills that have passed in a bipartisan way in the House.
