SOUTHFIELD (WXYZ) - The race for the 11 th Congressional District was split wide open when incumbent Thaddeus McCotter left in scandal. Running for the seat is Dr. Syed Taj who says he’s the best man for the district.
Dr. Syed Taj began his career as a medical resident and worked his way up to Chief of Medicine at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn.
In 2008, Dr. Taj was elected to the Canton Board of Trustees where he worked toward attracting businesses, lowering the personal property tax and offsetting the rising cost of water for the township.
Healthcare is a primary concern of Dr.Taj.
"I feel that every human being deserves quality affordable care," says Dr. Taj.
