MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) - Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson spoke Wednesday with 7 Action News anchor Stephen Clark while at the 2012 Mackinac Policy Conference. You can view the quick interview in the video below.

Patterson explained awkward comments that he made regarding Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano. Earlier Wednesday, during a radio interview, the outspoken Patterson answered the question of what sort of advice he would give to Ficano. He recounts that conversation saying he advised Ficano to, "Put your car in the garage and close the garage door behind you."

"We were just giving it to each other," he said jokingly of his advice to the Wayne County Executive.

The Oakland County Executive also hinted about a new development website coming soon from Oakland County.
