(WXYZ) - DTE Energy is reporting 15,000 customers are without power after storms swept through metro Detroit Thursday.
The hardest hit areas are Northern Oakland County, Pontiac and the thumb area.
Crews are working to restore service.
DTE says customers should stay at least 20 feet away from a downed power line. You should call 1-800-477-4747 if you see a downed power line.
All downed power lines should be treated as if they are live wires.
We'll continue to provide updates on outages.
