(SOUTHFIELD) Mich. - A prayer vigil is planned for Sunday at the AMC Star Theater in Southfield.
The vigil comes in the wake of the most tragic mass shooting in American history at the midnight showing of the Dark Knight Rises.
The event is being hosted by Michigan branch of the Rainbow Push Coalition, a religious organization led by the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The prayer vigil will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the AMC Star Theater Southfield located at 25333 W. 12 Mile Rd., Southfield, MI 48034.
According to a press release, participants will also be invited to call on the president and Congress to revive the ban on assault weapons.
Various theaters across the country will host similar events, including in San Francisco and Chicago.
