(WXYZ) - Purina Petcare is taking its "Waggin' Train" and "Creek Ranch" doggy treats off the market because of an antibiotic residue.
The company says the chicken jerky products -- made in China-- may contain trace amounts of antibiotics not approved in the United States.
The recall doesn’t cover Canyon Creek dog or cat foods-- just the jerky treats.
The FDA says reports of sick pets connected to the Chinese chicken jerky are on the rise and 360 dogs are reported to have died in the last year and a half.
