DETROIT (WXYZ) - Jury selection in the Kwame Kilpatrick corruption trial started Wednesday when potential jurors were provided with questionnaires.

About 300 potential jurors answered the specifically crafted questions.

The questionnaire is 25 pages and has 122 questions in all, and some have several parts to them.

Examples are as follows:

Question 38 asks if they or anyone close to them has experience in accounting, bookkeeping or taxes.

Question 46 asks how closely they follow state and local politics.

Question 62 asks what their opinion is of using wire taps  and hidden devices on people cooperating with the government.

There are also several questions about race.

The process is expected to last until early September when a 16 member jury will be seated.
