(WXYZ) - Approximately 520,000 coffee makers are being recalled because of a burn hazard.
Sunbeam Products Inc. is recalling Mr. Coffee Single Brewing Systems.
The company says steam can build up in the water reservoir and force the brewing chamber open, which can spill out hot coffee grounds and water. The company has received 164 reports of these incidents and 59 people have received burns.
The products were sold online and in stores nationwide from September 2010 through August 2012. The products were available at Bed, Bath & Beyond, JC Penney, Kmart, Lowes, Target, Walmart and other stores.
