DETROIT (WXYZ) - The airing of ABC's hit show, 'Secret Millionaire' was bittersweet for a Detroit youth job training group who lost Program Director Rowland Watkins in a car accident last week.
Watkins, 39, was killed in a fiery crash last week, just days before the airing of the 'Secret Millionaire' episode that featured Young Detroit Builders.
Michigan State Police believe Watkins lost control on a curve on I-94 near Eight Mile Road during bad weather.
The millionaire featured on Sunday night's show surprised organizers and students of Young Detroit Builders with a check for $40,000.
The money will help build a new training center for the organization.
