DETROIT (WXYZ) - Corruption charges in the United States Postal Service - 5-metro Detroit area postal service supervisors have been indicted for taking bribes ranging from cash to prostitutes.

The five current or former postal supervisors worked at facilities in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Allen Park and Akron, Ohio.

Federal prosecutors identified them today as:

  • 35-year-old Denny Robinson of Brownstown Township
  • 61-year-old Bruce Plumb of Brownstown
  • 47-year-old Gregory Gorski of Canton
  • 50-year-old Jeffrey Adams from Ohio
  • 49-year-old Mancer Holmes of Farmington Hills

They're accused of steering more than $13 million in vehicle maintenance and repair work to an unidentified private contractor.

In exchange, the postal workers accepted tens of thousands in cash, cars, and game tickets.

Prosecutors say one of the defendants, Bruce Plumb, was paid in liquor, lap dances and prostitutes.

Four of the employees have been placed on leave. The fifth has retired.

The special agent in charge of the investigation says the postal workers "betrayed the public's confidence in the postal service by taking bribes and kickbacks.
