55-year-old Detroit man stabbed to death after trying to help woman involved in fight

DETROIT (WXYZ) - A 55-year-old man was stabbed to death on the 2900 block of Alter Road in Detroit on Wednesday afternoon after coming to the aid of a woman involved in a fight.

The victim was trying to break up the verbal altercation between the woman and another man when the incident happened.

The man left the fight and returned with a knife, stabbing the victim.

He later died from his injuries.

The Detroit Police Department is asking anyone with information to call them at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
