DETROIT (WXYZ) - Two months ago Balaal Hollings didn't know if he would be able to graduate with his class after being shot in the head while trying to break up a fight.
But now the recent Northwestern High School graduate, who surprised his class by showing up at the ceremony, is picking up another honor.
He threw out the first pitch at tonight's Tigers game.
Hollings took the mound before the Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays game.
Since we shared his story, it has become a sensation--from Good Morning America to the internet.
Balaal wants people to know that through faith, anything is possible.
