BELLE ISLE (WXYZ) - The Belle Isle Aquarium is having its grand reopening on Saturday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission and parking are free. The aquarium is on Belle Isle at the Loiter Way and Inselruhe Avenue intersection.
A ribbon cutting took place Friday morning in advance of the grand opening.
The aquarium will be open every Saturday.
The Detroit landmark closed down in 2005.
