DETROIT (WXYZ) - The body of Monte Williams Jr. was located by Detroit police on Thursday, more than a week after he disappeared. 

Family members tell 7 Action News a fingerprint match was used to identify the 25-year-old man.

Williams was reported missing on September 11.

 He was last seen at the home on Dresden Street he shared with his girlfriend.

Williams had been shot in the abdomen.
