DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Police are investigating a horrific murder scene inside a home on the 20-thousand block of Yacama , on Detroit’s east side.
It happened near I -75 and 8 Mile.
Inside the house the bodies of a brother and sister were discovered. They were found around 8 p.m. on Monday.
The man, 32 years old, was shot. His sister, 30 years old, had multiple stab wounds and may also have been shot.
Neighbors say the siblings were well known on the block.
Sources told 7 Action News the brother lived downstairs, where his body was found.
The sister's body was found upstairs, where she lived. According to sources, the woman may have known her attacker because there was no forced entry.
The suspect drove the woman’s car down the street before ditching it.
Loved ones stopped by the victims’ mother’s house who lives nearby to show support. They told 7 Action News they are not ready to talk right now.
Neighbors we spoke to say the two will be missed.
No arrests have been made. If you have any information on this case you are asked to call Detroit Police’s Homicide Unit.
