DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Capuchin Soup Kitchen will begin distributing turkeys and all the fixings to 1,200-1,300 pre-registered families on November 20 and 21.
Each food box will contain a turkey, canned vegetables, canned fruit, three different pastas, corn muffin mix, grits, macaroni and cheese, tuna, instant mashed potatoes, a 10 lb bag of white potatoes, canned sweet potatoes, 5 lb bag of apples, cranberry sauce, stuffing, loaves of bread, and a pumpkin pie.
The event will take from 9 am -4 pm place both days at the Capuchin Services Center. It's located at 6333 Medbury in Detroit. The distribution is being made possible due to the generosity of thousands of individual donors.
