DETROIT (WXYZ) - A new reality show has been quietly filming around metro Detroit for the last seven months.
It is called "Motor City Wives" and the Detroit-based production company behind it hopes it will be network-bound in the fall.
Suzanne Lossia is one of the cast members and says she was approached last year while at a banquet hall.
“One of the producers saw me and they liked what I was wearing,” Lossia says.
That chance encounter led to a shot on the show.
The divorcee from Keego Harbor is a mom of two teenage boys.
The show’s creator, Valencia Williams, told Action News there are 7 cast members from across metro Detroit.
Williams says Ayanna Kilpatrick, sister of ex-mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, and reality star Deelishis from "Flavor of Love" on VH1 will be seen on the show, but are not actual cast members.
As for Suzanne, she says she wants to do the show so viewers can learn about her Chaldean culture.
She also wanted to do something for herself.
"My marriage was arranged," Lossia said. "We went out for a couple of hours. Five months later I was married."
