DETROIT (WXYZ) - Chrysler is considering pumping millions of dollars into one of its plants in Detroit.

The automaker is looking to invest $198 million into its Mack Avenue Engine I plant.

The investment could bring hundreds of new jobs.

7 Action News told you earlier this month, Chrysler would be idling production at its Mack Avenue Engine II plant in September.

The automaker said employees who work at the Engine II plant would be offered jobs at other plants.
